Apple TV has an exciting and packed summer lineup this year, anchored by a variety of compelling series. Here are three fan-favorite returning shows set to be among Apple’s biggest hits of the summer.

#1: Silo season 3

Before Severance and Pluribus became mainstream hits, Silo was perhaps Apple TV’s most well-known sci-fi series.

Silo season 3 debuts Friday, July 3 with one episode, followed by weekly releases through September 4.

With a new split-timeline plot that takes place simultaneously in the past and present, this season will delve deep into the origins of the silos.

Here’s the official season 3 summary:

Season three of “Silo” continues the saga of a dystopian society of 10,000 people living underground under mysterious circumstances, while revealing an origin story set centuries earlier. In the present, Juliette Nichols (Ferguson) survives her forced “cleaning” but returns with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat. Meanwhile, in the “Before Times,” journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences.

#2: Ted Lasso season 4

Following years of speculation and hopes for a new season, Ted Lasso is officially returning soon.

Ted Lasso season 4 arrives Wednesday, August 5 with one episode, then weekly releases through October 7.

Jason Sudeikis’ sports comedy was Apple TV’s first major hit, and remains arguably the streamer’s most beloved series.

Here’s Apple’s season 4 summary, followed by the teaser trailer:

Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.

#3: Dark Matter season 2

Based on one of the most acclaimed sci-fi novels of the last decade, Dark Matter amassed a loyal following after debuting on Apple TV in 2024. Now, it’s about to return.

Dark Matter season 2 premieres Friday, August 28 with one episode, followed by weekly releases through October 30.

The new season isn’t based on any prior works, but the original novel’s author remains the series showrunner and writer. So it’s not a case of a show unnecessarily continuing on past its source material.

Here’s Apple’s official season 2 plot summary:

Season two picks up with the Dessens as they settle into a quiet life in a world that finally seems safe until the unimaginable forces them to run once again. As Jason’s obsession with the Box deepens, Daniela’s (Connelly) growing paranoia pushes her to the brink, threatening to tear their fragile stability apart. Elsewhere, Amanda (Braga) and Ryan (Simpson) join forces in a desperate attempt to find their way home. With Blair (Brugel) determined to stop him, Leighton (Okeniyi) relentlessly chases his grand vision of creating a perfect world.
